This overdrive pedal wraps guitar tone in a warm blanket then piles on some tasty dirt, all while retaining the pure and natural dynamic sound of your guitar and amp. Based on the Prince of Tone, which in turn, is the one-channel edition of the King of Tone; the Duke is a dream pedal for any vintage stompbox devotee.

The MXR Duke of Tone Overdrive:

The MXR Duke of Tone lays down a warm yet articulate foundation that seeks out and emphasises even the most subtle nuances of your effects chain and setup: from your string-gauge to the dynamic response of your valve amplifier. Besides a standard-issue set of Drive and Tone pots, a three-way mini-switch toggles between Boost mode: a sweet yet solid clean boost; OD mode which defines the output with a touch more bite and compression; and Distortion, which sharpens up the trebles to shape fierce, tearing output. Set up this pedal as a booster or stack it with other gain pedals.
